If you are not a registered user, come to the signup area to register.

Lesson Plans: This is the central feature of our website. This portion of the site contains a searchable database of lesson plans specifically designed for application in the film classroom. There are also lesson plans tailored for use in other content areas (English, History, so forth). While you are welcome to download and use any of the lesson plans and materials provided here, please note that all lesson plans are copyrighted and are strictly for non-profit educational use only. See our site's User Agreement for more details.

Film Directory: Here educators can view a reference guide to film titles which are incorporated into the lesson plans used in the site as well as a few recommended titles. Not only does this guide link to the more comprehensive Internet Movie Database (IMDb.com), but it provides a place where users can comment on how the film worked in their classroom. This portion of the site also contains a link to all the lesson plans which use this film, and more.

New and Events: Occasionally, Brigham Young University hosts Media Education workshops or other events which are of interest to the avid media educator. Come to this portion of the site to learn about events or opportunities which may be available to you.

Resources: An annotated listing of some of the best media education sites and projects for further reference.

Core Principles: The Core Principles of Media Education (created by NAMLE)inform our lesson plan creation. Familiarize yourself with them to understand how to better incorporate media into your own classroom.

Signup: If you are not a registered user, come to this area of the site to fill out a brief survey and become an official Media Education Database user free of charge.
